End of the project “International Network of Green Ambassadors”
The associations “ESPERO” in Bulgaria and “DAGDER” in Turkey have completed the implementation of the project “International Network of Green Ambassadors,” No. 2024-1-BG01-KA210-YOU-000252801, aimed at engaging young people in environmental protection and sustainable development.
The main goal of the “Green Ambassadors” project was to enhance the capacity of the NGO sector to provide young learners with a better understanding and skills in the fields of sustainability, climate change, and the environment through the creation of a digital educational platform for non-formal environmental learning.
Among the results achieved at the end of the project are:
· Conducting meetings for the exchange of experience, knowledge, and best practices among partners and strengthening collaboration
· Surveying the attitudes of the direct target groups and their awareness regarding environmental education
· Development of digital educational content for young people in thematic modules on environmental protection and sustainable lifestyle
· Development of an interactive map "Green Rays" to promote, connect, and facilitate cooperation among various organizations in the field of ecological transition and youth work
· Creation of a web platform for informal environmental education of young people.
The implementation of the project supported the processes of digital transformation and the fight against climate change by developing a digital web platform for informal environmental education for young people, increasing their awareness of sustainability issues, and promoting their active civic engagement and initiative. In this way, the project aligns with both the priorities of the Erasmus program and the global United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the pursuit of a NET ZERO ECONOMY.
